: After three months of working my ass off, swapping engines and everything else on the SR71, I still couldn’t figure out the issue of NO boost… The previous owner before me had the car for three years, put three different engines in the Z and never could get it to boost the entire time he owned it. I was beginning to think that this car was just F’d. I have been driving my 85 F-250 4x4 (no AC) and my Street bike while patiently waiting on this beast to run. I was on the looking at buying another car because I was having doubts that the Z may never run.
I decided to turn it over to the experts after getting very frustrated with NO BOOST. Throttle Position Motorsport’s in Denton had my car for 8hrs. Farren called me yesterday and told me he had the car running great and boosting up to 18psi!!!!! He said the intercooler hoses where blown off of both sides. I feel like a F’ing retard since I changed/checked everything else 100 times but never the intercoolers. I picked it up yesterday and got to boost for my first time ever. OMFG!!! This thing runs like a rapped Ape!!! So nice to finally have it running like its supposed to. I knew all of the work and $$$ would pay off one day. I am soo stooked, my nightmares have ended. I put over 400 miles on since I picked it up yesterday and it is the first miles I have ever driven a TT (w/boost). Thanks to all that has helped especially TPMS. I just thought I would share my excitement of the feeling of having a new car.: P.S. Damon, reminder! Please add me to the List.
